Każdy koneser trunków powinien udać się do Chamarel Rumerie. Zakład jest położoy na wzgórzach nieopodal Le Morne. Właściewie na Mauritiusie wszystko położone jest "niopodal". Wyspa jest tak mała, że dotrzecie wszędzie w krócej, niż 2 godziny. Wracajaąc do Chamarel... wstęp kosztuje 350 rupii (ok. 35 zł) i oprócz tradycyjnego zwiedzania obejmuje również degustację rumu, likierów, miodu i różnych rodzajów cukru trzcinowego. Trudno oprzeć się potem zakupom w firmowym sklepie! Ceny są zdecydowanie niższe niż w strefie bezcłowej.

Everyone who adores spirits should visit Chamarel Rumerie. This place is not that far away form Le Morne. Actually, in mauritius everything is not that far away as this island is really tiny- you cen get to each destination in less than 2 hours. The 350 rupies (about 9 euros) entrance includes on the top of traditional visiting tasting the variety of sugar, liqueurs, rum and sugar cane itself. It is hard to resist the shopping afterall, nevertheless it is worth to buy suvenirs there instead of the dutyfree at the airport as it is cheaper.

 

Kierując się w głąb wyspy dotrzecie do miejsc absolutnie magicznych: Black River Gorges National Park i Tamarind Waterfalls. Widoki zapierają dech w piersi!

Heading to the inner part of the island you will get to the absolutely magic places: Black River Gorges National Park and Tamarind Waterfalls. The views are just breathtaking!

 

Zarówno wycieczkę do Chamarel, parku narodowego, jak i 7 Coloured Earth zaliczycie w ciągu jednego dnia. Podróżując po wyspie zauważycie, że ziemia jest zupełnie inna, niż w Europie. Szczególnie rzuca się to w oczy na obrzeżach plantacji trzciny cukrowej. Roślinność wyrasta z gleby o kolorze cegły. 7 Coloured Earth to miejsce, gdzie czerwone podłoże zostało dodatkowo zabarwione różnymi minerałami. I tak, w zalezności od kąta patrzenia, ziemia połyskuje na filetowo, zielono, szaro. Na odwiedzenie tego miejsca zarezerwujcie wczesne godziny popołudniowe, ponieważ kąt padania śwaitła jest wtedy najlepszy.

 

Altogether the trip to Chamarel, national park and 7 Coloured Earth can be done in one go. While travelling throughout the island you will notice that the earth is of different colour than in Europe. It is especially noticable at the edges of the sugar cane fields. Plants grow up from the reddish earth. 7 Coloured Earth is the place where this reddish earth is enriched with wide range of tones- from grey to purple. The best time to visit this place is the early afternoon as the angle of the light emphasizes all the best this place has to offer.
